What Should You Focus on First When Analyzing a Trading Account?

Beginner checklist – Start here if you are new to trading performance analysis.
If you are reviewing a trading account for the first time, focus on these six areas first:
  • Return and maximum drawdown: To compare profit against risk
  • Equity versus balance: To detect hidden floating loss
  • Win rate, average profit, and average loss: To understand trade quality
  • Monthly consistency: To see whether results are repeatable
