Brazil stocks higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.40%

Investing.com - Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Consumption and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raia Drogasil SA ( BVMF :RADL3), which rose 8.54% or 1.17 points to trade at 14.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos ( BVMF :HAPV3) added 3.95% or 1.29 points to end at 33.95 and Vivara Participacoes SA ( BVMF :VIVA3) was up 3.54% or 0.91 points to 26.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BRF SA ( BVMF :BRFS3), which fell 3.40% or 0.69 points to trade at 19.63 at the close. Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica ( BVMF :PCAR3) declined 2.87% or 0.10 points to end at 3.39 and YDUQS Participacoes SA ( BVMF :YDUQ3) was down 2.54% or 0.33 points to 12.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 490 to 442 and 53 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.59% to 26.04.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.91% or 30.80 to $3,430.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.81% or 1.22 to hit $66.11 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 2.06% or 5.85 to trade at $290.05 .
USD/BRL was down 0.74% to 5.50, while EUR/BRL fell 0.86% to 6.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 98.51.
