Brazil Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; Bovespa Up 0.72%

Investing - Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Electric Power and Consumption sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Raizen SA Preferred, which rose 10.58% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Cosan SA Industria e Comercio added 5.29% or 0.29 points to end at 5.77 and Auren Energia SA was up 4.72% or 0.47 points to 10.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prio SA, which fell 3.14% or 1.22 points to trade at 37.59 at the close. Natura & Co SA declined 3.06% or 0.28 points to end at 8.86 and Cyrela Brazil Realty SA was down 1.59% or 0.41 points to 25.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 643 to 305 and 65 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 1.46% to 24.38.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 4.48 to $3,378.12 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.10% or 0.68 to hit $62.66 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.97% or 3.25 to trade at $337.45 .
USD/BRL was up 0.63% to 5.43, while EUR/BRL rose 0.37% to 6.34.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 97.98.
