The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were PIK SHb PJSC , which rose 1.25% or 8.10 points to trade at 658.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Polyus PJSC added 1.18% or 25.00 points to end at 2,140.60 and ROSSETI PJSC was unchanged 1.14% or 0.00 points to 0.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aeroflot PJSC , which fell 2.12% or 1.46 points to trade at 67.34 at the close. Novolipetsk Steel declined 1.70% or 2.22 points to end at 128.58 and Rosneft PJSC was down 1.70% or 8.10 points to 467.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 153 to 89 and 9 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 0.34% to 38.04.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.56% or 19.05 to $3,358.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.15% or 0.72 to hit $61.98 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $65.96 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 80.94, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 94.07.
