Brazil Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; Bovespa Down 0.12%

• The Bovespa Index slipped 0.12%, dragged down by declines in the Electric Power, Consumer, and Financial sectors.
• Top gainer: Braskem SA rose 3.79%, while biggest loser: YDUQS Participacoes SA fell 6.03%.
• The Brazilian real strengthened, with USD/BRL down 0.14% to 5.47 and EUR/BRL down 0.51% to 6.36.

Investing - Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Electric Power, Consumption and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Braskem SA, which rose 3.79% or 0.30 points to trade at 8.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Raia Drogasil SA added 2.01% or 0.36 points to end at 18.26 and Motiva Infraestrutura de Mobilidade SA was up 1.92% or 0.25 points to 13.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YDUQS Participacoes SA, which fell 6.03% or 0.78 points to trade at 12.15 at the close. Porto Seguro SA declined 3.48% or 1.83 points to end at 50.80 and Energy of Minas Gerais Co Preferred was down 3.19% or 0.35 points to 10.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 510 to 384 and 64 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 4.19% to 25.14.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.16% or 5.30 to $3,383.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.21% or 0.76 to hit $63.47 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 2.98% or 10.55 to trade at $364.00 .
USD/BRL was down 0.14% to 5.47, while EUR/BRL fell 0.51% to 6.36.
