Russia Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; MOEX Index Down 0.02%

• The index slipped 0.02% at Tuesday's close, weighed down by losses in the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power sectors.
• VK Company (+2.51%), Rostelekom (+2.10%), and MTS (+1.68%) led the gains, while PIK (-0.92%), Tatneft (-0.80%), and Transneft Pref (-0.77%) were the biggest decliners.
• Advancing stocks outpaced decliners (151 vs. 81), while the Russian Volatility Index (RVI) rose 0.60% to 30.00, marking a 1-month low in implied volatility.

Investing - Russia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index lost 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were VK Company Ltd, which rose 2.51% or 8.30 points to trade at 339.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Rostelekom PJSC added 2.10% or 1.51 points to end at 73.55 and Mobil'nye Telesistemy PJSC was up 1.68% or 3.70 points to 224.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PIK SHb PJSC , which fell 0.92% or 6.20 points to trade at 666.70 at the close. TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin declined 0.80% or 5.30 points to end at 660.20 and Transneft PJSC Pref was down 0.77% or 10.00 points to 1,309.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 151 to 81 and 18 ended unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index - RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 0.60% to 30.00 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.75% or 25.65 to $3,443.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.31% or 1.50 to hit $63.30 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $66.69 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 80.51, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 93.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 98.14. (AI)
