Brazil Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; Bovespa Down 0.67%

Investing - Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumption and Electric Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Cosan SA Industria e Comercio, which rose 3.31% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Embraer SA added 2.17% or 1.66 points to end at 78.20 and MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA was up 2.11% or 0.16 points to 7.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Auren Energia SA, which fell 3.89% or 0.41 points to trade at 10.12 at the close. C A Modas SA declined 3.70% or 0.64 points to end at 16.66 and Banco do Brasil SA was down 3.18% or 0.67 points to 20.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 562 to 395 and 36 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.68% to 24.65.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.44% or 85.82 to $3,601.92 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.44% or 1.56 to hit $65.57 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 3.30% or 12.75 to trade at $373.35 .
USD/BRL was up 0.61% to 5.47, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.06% to 6.37.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 98.27. (AI)
