Mexico Stocks Lower at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Down 0.16%

• Mexican stocks slipped: The S&P/BMV IPC closed down 0.16%, pressured by Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors.
• Top movers: Industrias Peoles (+9.11%) and Gentera (+2.07%) hit all-time highs, while Banco del Bajo gained 2.75%.
• Biggest losers: Fomento Econmico (-3.84%) hit a 52-week low, alongside declines in Coca-Cola Femsa (-3.52%) and Genomma Lab (-2.78%).

Investing - Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV, which rose 9.11% or 59.97 points to trade at 718.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple added 2.75% or 1.27 points to end at 47.44 and Gentera SAB de CV was up 2.07% or 0.95 points to 46.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD, which fell 3.84% or 6.25 points to trade at 156.48 at the close. Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV declined 3.52% or 5.53 points to end at 151.79 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV was down 2.78% or 0.64 points to 22.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 135 to 119 and 11 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.77% or 27.50 to $3,619.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.77% or 1.82 to hit $63.77 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $67.38 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.12% to 18.70, while EUR/MXN rose 0.09% to 21.81.
