Brazil Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; Bovespa Up 0.56%

Investing - Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumption and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.56% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Magazine Luiza SA, which rose 8.11% or 0.75 points to trade at 10.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Vivara Participacoes SA added 4.99% or 1.38 points to end at 29.03 and Cyrela Brazil Realty SA was up 4.91% or 1.43 points to 30.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica, which fell 5.39% or 0.23 points to trade at 4.04 at the close. Caixa Seguridade Participacoes SA declined 2.46% or 0.35 points to end at 13.90 and Totvs SA was down 1.40% or 0.60 points to 42.21.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 617 to 328 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cyrela Brazil Realty SA rose to 5-year highs; up 4.91% or 1.43 to 30.54.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.96% to 25.93.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 8.00 to $3,674.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.18% or 1.39 to hit $62.28 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.62% or 2.40 to trade at $384.50.
USD/BRL was down 0.38% to 5.39, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.00% to 6.33.
