Mexico Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Up 0.06%

• Mexico's S&P/BMV IPC index edged up 0.06% on Thursday, supported by gains in Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors.

• Worst performers: Gentera (-5.02%), Genomma Lab (-4.30%, 52-week low), and Becle (-2.98%); decliners (125) outnumbered advancers (98).

Investing - Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V., which rose 2.80% or 4.01 points to trade at 147.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. added 2.69% or 1.59 points to end at 60.78 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. was up 2.41% or 3.09 points to 131.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV, which fell 5.02% or 2.49 points to trade at 47.11 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV declined 4.30% or 0.81 points to end at 18.01 and Becle SA was down 2.98% or 0.61 points to 19.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 125 to 98 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. rose to all time highs; up 2.80% or 4.01 to 147.00. Shares in Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.69% or 1.59 to 60.78. Shares in Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV fell to 52-week lows; down 4.30% or 0.81 to 18.01.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.33% or 12.40 to $3,780.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.35% or 0.23 to hit $65.22 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $69.63 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 18.48, while EUR/MXN rose 0.09% to 21.56.
