Brazil Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; Bovespa Up 0.63%

• Brazilian stocks climbed on Monday, with the Bovespa Index rising 0.63% to a new five-year high, supported by gains in the Electric Power, Public Utilities, and Financials sectors.
• Top performers included Lojas Renner (+3.58%), Razen (+3.57%), and Marfrig (+2.90%), while Suzano (-2.29%), Usiminas (-1.64%), and Natura & Co (-1.82%) led the declines.
• Advancing stocks outnumbered decliners 529 to 418 on the B3 Exchange, while market volatility eased as the CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility Index fell 2.99% to 27.27.

Investing - Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Electric Power, Public Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.63% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Lojas Renner SA, which rose 3.58% or 0.50 points to trade at 14.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Raizen SA Preferred added 3.57% or 0.03 points to end at 0.87 and Marfrig Global Foods was up 2.90% or 0.53 points to 18.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Suzano Papel e Celulose SA, which fell 2.29% or 1.09 points to trade at 46.53 at the close. Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref declined 1.64% or 0.09 points to end at 5.40 and Natura & Co SA was down 1.82% or 0.17 points to 9.18.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 529 to 418 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in Suzano Papel e Celulose SA fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.29% or 1.09 to 46.53.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 2.99% to 27.27.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.70% or 108.27 to $4,118.07 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.38 to hit $60.13 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 1.99% or 8.10 to trade at $415.90.
USD/BRL was down 0.50% to 5.31, while EUR/BRL fell 0.53% to 6.14.
