Mexico Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; S&P/BMV IPC Up 0.35%

Investing - Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Sigma Foods SAB de CV, which rose 2.91% or 0.54 points to trade at 19.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Arca Continental SAB De CV added 2.86% or 5.86 points to end at 210.91 and Grupo Carso SAB De CV was up 2.08% or 2.66 points to 130.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV, which fell 4.54% or 2.39 points to trade at 50.25 at the close. Becle SA declined 3.46% or 0.64 points to end at 17.86 and Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV was down 1.59% or 1.78 points to 110.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 120 to 107 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sigma Foods SAB de CV rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.91% or 0.54 to 19.10. Shares in Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.59% or 1.78 to 110.06.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.40% or 21.01 to $5,205.19 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $65.50 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.52% or 0.37 to trade at $71.06 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.20% to 17.19, while EUR/MXN rose 0.12% to 20.29.
