Thailand's economy grew by 2.3% in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year, surpassing analysts' expectations of 2.1%. On a quarterly basis, the economy expanded by 0.8% from April to June, slightly below the forecasted 0.9%. In the first quarter of 2024, GDP growth was revised upward to 1.6% year-on-year and 1.2% quarter-on-quarter.
